I was given a number of boxes of gear from a local Ham that was down sizing his equipment. Among the boxes I came across an antenna rolled up on two wooden dowels.
Also, I found some papers on “The Halfer” 40m end fed dipole.
I had just been looking at the Par Electronics EndFedz Dipoles, so I was interested !
It comprises of 67′ of wire with a 34′ counterpoise.
Raise the end of the long wire into the trees and hook the other end to your tuner or 4:1 balun and then to a tuner. The counterpoise lays on the ground.
I am planning on taking this up Crane Mountain on Nov 14th for the North American SOTA activity Day.
Information on this antenna can be found at the NJQRP website.
